Chick’n Stir Fry

I often watch for sales on vegetarian products as they are more expensive than their meat counterparts. I’ve used a brand called LightLife before and enjoyed both of the Smart Ground original and Mexican veggie crumbles. I had a package of their Chick’n Style Strips I wanted to use in a stir fry. I had not tried the chick’n strips until now.

While at the local CO-OP I picked up a container of sliced organic onion, red and green peppers that was cheaper than buying the three separately.

There is enough to make two meals and decided to use the Chick’n strips for stir fry. I also picked up some organic mushrooms to use in the stir fry. My ingredients include garlic, mushrooms, onion, red pepper, green pepper, soy sauce, and Chick’n strips. After the recipe, I’ll post my review of the Smart Strips Chick’n Strips.

This is my first dish using the Chick’n Strips from LightLife. I’m surprised and happy at how well they replace chicken in a meal. Chick’n Strips have a good texture and flavor and mixed well in this stir fry. I like them and would use them in more dishes. If you’re interested in using a product that calls for chicken this is an excellent alternative option. I don’t think kids would notice it’s not real chicken meat when used in a dish that has great flavor. Pick up a package of Chick’n Strips or try the other available products and let me know what you think!

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
