Ingredients:

Lentils – 1 Cup(Red lentils are preferred. You can also go for brown or yellow)
Garam Masala- 1 teaspoon
Onion- 2 -3
Pepper, Cardamom
Cloves Garlic- 1-2

Salt, some cumin seeds
Water- 3-4 cups
How To Cook?
Well, it’s very simple to cook. Take lentils in a utensil and rinse it with water. Drain the water and let it pat dry.
Take some vegetable oil in a frying pan. Add chopped onion and garlic and fry them. Also add cumin seed, cardamom, pepper, ‘Garam Masala’ and salt and continue frying till you start getting a spicy fragrance(about 1/2 minute)
Now add lentils to this. Saute it for around one minute. Add cold water to it and cover it and cook it on medium heat for approximately 25 to 35 minutes (till lentils get mushy).
